Our story
Riverbend Equine Services is a mobile equine veterinary dental service located in Geelong, Victoria.
Founder, Dr Kate Richards is a qualified veterinarian and horse enthusiast who is passionate about equine dentistry and preventative health.
'I established the business after struggling to find a local veterinary dental service I could rely on to provide tailored, top quality care for my horses. I believe preventative health care is key to a happy horse, and providing a high quality dental service means horse welfare in the region will also improve.' ----- Dr Kate
Dr Kate holds a double degree in Bachelor of Veterinary Biology and Veterinary Science (Hons) and a Bachelor of Agricultural Science. She previously worked in mixed practice, and now dedicates her time to both Riverbend Equine and her role as an associate veterinarian in a small animal practice in Torquay, Victoria.
Dr Kate has completed additional veterinary training in equine dentistry in order to offer a caring, thorough and educational equine dental service. A keen learner, she regularly attends conferences and undertakes regular training to stay up-to-date with current practices.
As a horse owner herself, Dr Kate enjoys farm trail rides and is a keen polocrosse competitor. In her spare time she also enjoys surfing and rock climbing.
